Best Brownies Ever! Recipe and My Review

Taken from cooking.tips.net, here is an amazing recipe for creating awesome brownies! (My personal review is at the bottom)

"I had a friend once who didn't really like brownies because she thought they were, what she termed, a "mediocre dessert." Then, one time I made my brownie recipe, and her whole outlook on brownies changed. Her whole life, she'd had to settle for brownies from a mix or a box. Learn how to make the best brownies from scratch ever heard of—everyone will be asking you for this recipe once they've had a taste of it.

You only need a few simple ingredients:

  • 3 squares of baking chocolate
  • 1 cup of butter (2 sticks of butter)
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1-1/2 cups of flour

You start making the brownies by melting the baking chocolate and butter together. If you don't happen to have baking chocolate in your pantry, you can substitute each baking square with three tablespoons of baking cocoa and one tablespoon of shortening. If you melt it in the microwaves, make sure that you use a lower heat setting than high; otherwise, you could burn the chocolate and the butter could boil.

While the chocolate and butter are melting, mix the eggs and the sugar together in a large bowl. Once the eggs and sugar are combined well, pour in the melted chocolate and butter combination, and mix that together as well. Next, add the vanilla, salt, and flour. Make sure that it is all combined well and thoroughly. Use a spatula a couple of times to scrape the batter off the sides, so everything really does get mixed in well. (And don't forget to take a few tastes of the batter yourself!)

Pour the batter into a greased pan (a 9-by-13 pan works best), and put it in an oven preheated to 375 degrees. Let the brownies bake for around eighteen minutes. Use a toothpick to check and see if the brownies are finished: if the toothpick comes out with batter on it, then the brownies need to bake a little longer. Let the brownies cool for a few minutes and then serve! Enjoy!"
